| Stone Flex
Hangers: for those who want
additional protection for Ezee-On’s
already rugged bearings, blades, spools,
and gang shafts, Stone flex hangers
are available as an option. With the
extreme thrust forces present on a
disc and potential for rocks in some
areas, the Stone-flex hanger is a perfect
choice for absorbing those shocks.
The 1¼” x 2½” C-shaped
spring steel reacts to both vertical,
but more importantly, horizontal forces.
Disc penetration is not compromised.
The scraper bar is integral with the
Stone-flex hanger which allows it to
move with the gang when the hanger
flexes. (Not available with 28” blades
or larger.) |
|
| Steel Fabricated
Spools: Ezee-On discs feature
fabricated steel half and full spools
as standard equipment. Unlike cast
iron spools, steel spools can withstand
far greater “shock loads” from
rocks or stumps thereby eliminating
spool breakage. Compressed to maximum
density prior to assembly, Ezee-On’s
fabricated spools ensure the gang will
not shift and become loose. Ezee-On’s
fabricated spools ensure the gang will
not shift and become loose. Ezee-On’s
large diameter gang shaft combines
with steel fabricated spools to result
in an effective total outer diameter
of 6-5/8” on the gang. |
|
| Positive Depth
Control: a 5½” heavy
duty rockshaft, in greaseable bearings,
is the foundation of the single offset
disc’s depth control system.
A single cylinder with positive depth
control segments provides a consistent
and repeatable working depth. An adjustable
crank allows the operator to regulate
the balance of pressure on both gangs.
The depth control system is designed
for strength, adjustability and ease
of maintenance. |
|
| Furrow Filler
Blades: in order to get the
most uniform and consistent working
of the field, Ezee-On Offset discs
have furrow filler blades as standard
equipment. On the larger working widths
two furrow fillers are standard, one
2” smaller than the working blades
and one 4” smaller, (Only one
furrow filler is available on Model
8550). On the smaller working widths
one furrow filler 4” smaller
than the working blades is standard.
These blades along with full sizes
blades work together to create a uniform
well-worked field. |

 |
| Blade Scrapers: all
Ezee-On discs feature one piece, 4” wide
blade scrapers made of carbon steel for
long wear life. The scrapers are U-bolt
mounted for maximum adjustment. Scrapers
are mounted on a heavy duty 2” x
2” tubular steel bar. All scrapers
are located to the inside of the blade
to reduce draft requirements and eliminate
the need for trash guards. |
|
| Adjustable
Gang Angle: all Ezee-On single
offset discs allow the operator to
customes the gang angle there by causing
a more or less aggressive discing
action. Soil conditions (i.e. moisture, trash, etc.) vary from
season to season, let alone year to year, and only a disc with
an adjustable gang angle will perform in these conditions. |
|
| Removable
Spindle Axles: Ezee-On’s
offset discs are built with maintenance
concerns in mind. All spindle axles
are designed for easy removal and
strength.
Each spindle is bolted into a sleeve and can be removed by
simply removing the bolt and pulling
out the axle. This will save valuable
time if repairs to a tire are needed. |
|
| Standard Rigid
Hanger: heavy built rigid
hangers hold strong in the most extreme
conditions. The 1225 and 1275 use hangers
fabricated from solid 1¼“ high
strength steel and clamped onto the
gang beam with U-bolts. The 1375 and
8550 use hangers fabricated from 6” x
3” x 3/8” rectangular steel
tubing. Both hangers have a slim line
contour that gives the maximum strength
combined with excellent trash clearance. |

 |
| Choice of Blade
Spacing:
Ezee-On single offset discs offer spacing choice that allow everything
from primary tillage and breaking (10½”, 12”,
14”) to secondary and finishing operations (9” – 10½”).
The 1225 is available in 9” and 10½” spacing.
The 1275 is available in 10½” and 12”, and the
1375 and 8550 are at 12” and 14” respectively. |
|
| Large Gang
Shaft: all Ezee-On discs feature
a large 1-15/16” diameter, high
carbon steel gang shaft. This gang
shaft along with Ezee-On’s steel
fabricated spools allows the gang assembly
to be torqued at the factory to 3200
ft./lbs. |
|
| Optional
Pan-Style (Moldboard) Scrapers: Are
available on the 1225, 1275 and
the 1375 model discs, which mount
low on the disc blade to provide
effective cleaning of the
disc blade and prevent sticky soils from building up. As a
result, the disc cuts cleaner and
draft is lighter. All scrapers
are adjustable
individually or as a group for optimum performance in the field. |

| 410 Series Heavy
Duty Bearings – the 410 series
(available on 1225 only) is an excellent
choice for those looking for a medium to
heavy duty bearing. Seven 15/16" steel
balls are contained within a greaseable bearing
with seal guards. The 410WSS bearing is 5/16" wider
allowing 2, triple lip seals that cannot
be overgreased unlike the older 410N bearing. The
410 uses a bolt-on cast housing that allows
the bearing to self align and attaches
to the hanger with four bolts. Radial load
rating @ 33-1/3 RPM is 14100 lbs. The 410
series bearing has double the capacity of
the main line’s competitive bearings. |
|
| T2-215 Trunnion Mounted
Bearing – the
T2-215 series (optional on 1225 -10½” spacing,
std. on 1275, 1375 and 8550) is the largest
bearing available on Ezee-On discs. Two 215
series bearings are contained within a massive
greaseable trunnion type housing. The 215 bearing
uses eleven (11) 11/16” steel balls.
Two (2) independent 3 ply national “syntech” lip
seals contain the twin 215 bearings. Specially
designed for high loads and low rotation speeds,
the T2-215 has a radial load rating of 22800
lbs. @ 33-1/3” RPM. Pivot points keep
the trunnions centered and able to handle shaft
deflection. The housing also makes it extremely
simple to remove disc gangs, one bolt per trunnion.
Bearing wear plates are optional for rocky
conditions or where there is a potential for
damage to the turnnion housing. |
|
|
|
|
| Floating Hitch – this feature
is standard on all 1375 and 8550 discs but is not available
on competitive discs. The floating hitch is important
in that it allows the disc to follow irregular ground
contours closely. Unlike conventional hitch designs,
the floating hitch moves up or down with the tractor
without interfering with the operation of the disc.
If an obstruction is encountered, the disc simply rolls
over it without transferring weight to the front gangs.
Blade and bearing damage can be significantly reduced.
A spring-cushioned screw crank is provided to make
short work of leveling the disc front to rear. |
